Today I went to Shirakawa-go (soon I’ll be making a huge post about my trip and the many other places I went this holiday week in Japan) and wanted to make a quick post about the ice cream I saw.
Ice Cream – unrefined sake, mugmort, millet, buck wheat flavors…. Surprisingly all tastes good.
Himakajima is a small island off the Chita Peninsula, south of Nagoya city. The island is known for it’s fresh octopus and blowfish along with vacation hotels.

Once a year on the 18th 19th of July Morikoro park has fireworks, a fair, a famous Jpop singer, hip-hop bands and tons of international food stalls. They also had many hands on crafting like Japanese fans, chopsticks, flying things and solar powered frogs/monkeys.

Obento – popular, super cheap and a big amount. 280 Yen which is about $2.80. At work we go here for lunch sometimes. Our favorite is the fried chicken, rice, vegetables.
